SPEX will compensate customers any loss or damage of their parcels in the course of transport due to operation problems in accordance with IATA standards. The compensation will be one of the following method 1) the invoice amount (Less than USD 100), or 2) US$20 per kilogram in gross weight, whichever is lower, and up to US$100.
For loss or damage to the parcels of customers not caused by SPEX, such customs or other government officials due to negligence, SPEX will assist the customers to claim for the damage but not responsible for the indemnity
You are strongly advised to take proper insurance for the shipment of valuable items in order to avoid unexpected loss in high value. You may use the insurance agency service provided by SPEX, or take coverage directly from your insurer.
Not all items are covered by the insurance policy for protection.
Items not covered are: hazardous substances, fragile objects, securities, art objects, antiques, television sets, computer, and other. You should confirm the content before taking any insurance coverage.
>> Non-Approved Goods
- You must complete the insurance procedure before sending out your shipment, or you cannot be insured afterwards.
- The amount insured on the shipment must be the exact amount with the invoice amount. Or else, the insurer will reject your inquiry.
- Items not listed in the commercial invoices will not be insured and compensated by insurance company.
The insurer will not accept any claim for insurance benefit due to improper packing.
Cargo insurance claim will not cover
- Indirect loss or damage
- Loss of damage caused by delay
- Normal worn out or impairment of goods
- Damage caused by poor quality of cargo, non-navigability of the cargo, or improper packing of the cargo
- Loss of damage caused by war, strike, and any illegal act of a third party

If you found the parcel is damaged upon the time of arrival, please inform our delivery staff immediately. Please write down the condition of your package on our waybill. Our claim team will assist and get back to you immediately.
In addition, please also take photographs of the package with and without the carton. Photos should clearly display damage area in order to provide better evidence for insurance company.
Please contact our account representative within 7 working days after the arrival of your package. You can also inform SPEX customer service and provide the following information:
1. Courier waybill number
2. Photographs showing both exterior and interior part of the carton, and the status of the damaged items.
Upon receiving your documentations, our customer service staff will assist you to prepare for your claim. Claim process usually takes approximately 30 days.
